TEAM MANA Rides for Charity

TEAM MANA has raised over $10,000 for charities during the 2009 season! The team rode in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Diabetes Association, Make-a-Wish Campaign, Lance Armstrong Foundation as well as the U-M Pediatric Cardiology support group.
The TEAM MANA steering committee met recently and outlined the 2010 rides and initiated the preliminary work in order to link the team to the MANA wellness campaign. We have also begun to outline opportunities for those who would like to participate in team activities that are at a more casual or mild level of activity, such as walking events, jogging or runs. We will continue to develop the cycling event options and are looking into getting involved in Triathlon events. With the cold weather on the way we will be offering indoor spinning for those interested. A little for everyone! As always, we welcome new team members.
We have solidified our TEAM MANA mission statement:
The mission of TEAM MANA is to support charity events for those in need, advance public awareness of our profession and promote wellness among our members through our participation in cycling and other activities.
