Obituary

Thomas Rodziik, CRNA MS, passed away suddenly on July 31, 2010, at the age of 57. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth, loving father of Jack and Allison, brother of Edward (Sue) and son-in-law of Joseph and Doris Byrne. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Eleanor.

Tom started his health care career as an Army Medic in 1972. He started working for the DMC at Sinai as a Nurse Technician, and then continued on at Sinai as a RN after graduating from Wayne State with his BSN in 1980. After completing his MS in Anesthesia in 1988 from Wayne State University he began working at Harper as a CRNA. Tom was a consistent presence in the department and pleasant to everyone for the past 22 years. All of surgical services will miss him, and his departure has left a large hole in the department.

Tom was a proud army veteran and a member of ‘Friends of Polish Art’. A memorial service was held at St. Kenneth Church, on August 4th. Donations in his name may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
